Jeff Kaminski was examining the effect of silviculture practices on small mammal community composition and abundance. Like Kate, he was also determining what microhabitat features most successfully predict animal abundance. Jeff was capturing and marking small mammals by ear tagging and toe clipping.
This project is part of a long term monitoring project on the MeadWestvaco Ecosystem Research Forest in West Virginia. Data collection on Jeff's project has recently been completed and analysis will be finished in the Spring of 2005.
